Street style fashion is definitely considered trendy. I personally like it because that type of fashion can be appropriate for different occasions. For example, in the pictures you can see my good friend Malik in a hotel lobby. He looks very professional and serious. However, if you are to look at the other pictures you can see that he no longer looks as professional and looks comfortable and “chill”. In all these three pictures he is wearing the exact same thing, mostly. I find it interesting how a simple jean jacket and watch can definitely make your outfit look more put together. Street style is definitely a “go to” for me and many teens nowadays. It’s definitely a easy, comfortable, and fun way to style.

I personally feel that everyone should own a good pair of white shoes. I know it is hard maintaining them white but I definitely think its worth the struggle. White shoes in my opinion go well with almost everything. For example, as modeled by my good friend Yailene, you can throw in some black pants, cropped hoodie, and sox jersey…and boom you end up with a really trendy street style look. I really like what she is wearing because I feel that white and black look good together. Her outfit seems really relaxed and comfortable….which isn’t that what everyone looks for?
This is a recap from a photoshoot taken at Lacuna Artist Loft in Chicago Illinois. LACUNA Chicago is Lower West Chicago’s multi purpose cultural arts center, events venue and shared work space. They are located at 2150 S Canalport in Pilsen. To read more or book your own even please go to

My ‘go to’ outfit. I usually wear a loose pair of jeans along with a billowy blouse when I am out and about the city. Some days I will add a cute pair of stack-heeled booties to spice it up a little so I won’t look like a complete hippy. I recently bought a book bag from Earthbound Trading which is a very chill and spiritual store. I fell in love with this bag after spotting the Ganesh printed on it. I purchased the distressed jeans from Ross not too long ago. I loved that there were a lot of tears in the pants because currently, it’s blazing hot in Chicago. I had bought my blouse from Forever 21 when I was in D.C. Forever 21 isn’t the cheapest place to shop at but it can be worth the expenses. My shoes are purchased from Amazon. I personally am not the most wealthy person you’ll ever meet, but cheap things can look super cute. I had a budget at the time and these shoes were on clearance and were absolutely gorgeous. The specific brand is called Forever and they sell affordable shoes online. The most expensive thing in this entire outfit is the purse. I go this when I was strolling through the Roosevelt collection and saw Francesca’s. Francesca’s isn’t a cheap store to buy things, but if you have the money and are in need of a cute accessory then I totally recommend shopping at Francesca’s!
Until next time!

My team and i worked with different lighting! Moving the lights to several locations, and directions which created different effects. I found i created an atmosphere around the models and captured a very different feel for both of them.
Daily street style is a must in Chicago! your daily style debuts your personal expressiveness. Everyday your style is based on being a better individual so why not express that through your attire.
Today Mershakes is wearing a tank from forever 21, her jacket and bag is thrifted, also both her pants and shoes come from Tj Max. She finished off her outfit with some cool shades from H&M which tied her attire together.
This is just one great example of street style done in a very simple and cool way.
As a photographer you go through many changes with your work, recently i tried a editorial look with a friend of mine isabel, and captured some awesome looks.
Isabel is a very causal person with a sassy punch so i tried my best to capture her personalty with each photo. She wore the basics a black tee and kimono from H&M, pairing that with some cool leggings from Zara and a touch of color with her pink Adidas. This look is very cool.
On Tuesday I worked with my fellow colleagues to make a collaborative series of studio shots. I have never used studio lighting in any of my photos before until now. In this series I wanted to experiment with different light situations. In the up coming shoot the Idea of our project is to make a dramatic editorial shoot. In these photos I was being to conjure up a multitude of ideas by moving around the light so it could flatter the subject without of making them look blown out. I really wanted to focus on the clothing of the subject because of the stark contrast of the colour. One of the things that stood out to me in these photos is the necklace of the subject. I had an issue with capturing the fine details of the hair because of the black background and the subject having dark hair. So I decided to add a lot of movement to the hair of the subject. By doing this it caused the hair and jewelry to stand out more. The lighting was very flattering to the subjects hair which created a lovely colour palette to compliment her hair and outfit all together. After doing this shoot it helped me come up with more ideas for the shoot. Now I most definitely will have an idea for the lighting and theme of our shoot. What is to happen is a secret and you’ll have to wait until next!
